Privacy notice

How we handle personal data.

This notice explains how T Fintech Limited collects, uses, stores and discloses personal data in connection with the tftech.dev website and our business communications.

Version 1.0

Effective 30 October 2026

Scope of this notice

This notice applies to personal data collected through the tftech.dev website and in the course of enquiries, business communications and the technology and platform services we provide. T Fintech Limited (正三金融科技有限公司) is the data user responsible for that personal data.

It does not cover the TPay service, which has its own terms and privacy information, or any other service provided under separate terms. Where a service has its own privacy notice, that notice applies to personal data collected through that service.

Personal data we collect

We collect personal data that you choose to give us, including your name, job title, organisation, email address, telephone number, postal address, and the content of your enquiry or correspondence.

When you visit the website, our hosting and security providers may automatically collect technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the referring page and timestamps. This data appears in server and security logs.

We do not ask for or knowingly collect payment card details, identity documents or special-category data through this website. Please do not send them to our general enquiry address.

The website is intended for business users aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Purposes for which we use personal data

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • to respond to enquiries and provide information about our company and services;
  • to provide, operate, support and administer technology and platform services;
  • to operate, secure, monitor and improve the website, and to diagnose faults;
  • to manage our relationships with clients, suppliers, advisers and other business contacts;
  • to comply with legal, regulatory, tax and accounting obligations, and to respond to lawful requests;
  • to protect our rights and those of our clients, including detecting and preventing fraud, abuse and security incidents; and
  • to consider a job application where one is sent to us.

How we use personal data

We use personal data only for the purposes for which it was collected, or for purposes directly related to them. If we want to use personal data for a new purpose, we will tell you and, where required by law, obtain your consent first.

We do not use personal data collected through this website for direct marketing without your consent. If you consent to receiving marketing communications, you can withdraw that consent at any time, free of charge, by emailing us, and we will stop.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses a small number of essential cookies and browser storage. The theme cookie and local storage record whether you prefer the light or dark appearance, so the site does not show the wrong theme on your next visit. They are set by our theme script and are not used to identify you or to build a profile.

Our hosting and security providers may set strictly necessary technical cookies to route requests, balance load and protect the website.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or third-party analytics on this website. If that changes, we will update this notice and, where required, ask for consent first.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the theme cookie does not prevent you from using the website, but your appearance preference may reset.

Sharing personal data

We do not sell personal data. We share it only as needed for the purposes described above, with:

  • service providers that host and secure the website and our systems, including cloud infrastructure and edge hosting providers, and providers of email delivery and IT support;
  • professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors, insurers and accountants, who are under duties of confidentiality;
  • other companies in the same group, where needed to respond to your enquiry or provide a service;
  • public authorities, regulators, courts or law enforcement, where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and
  • a buyer or successor in connection with an actual or proposed reorganisation, merger or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality.

Service providers

Where we use a service provider to process personal data on our behalf, we require it to protect that data and to use it only for the purposes we specify. Service providers are not permitted to use your personal data for their own purposes.

Overseas transfer

We are based in Hong Kong, but our cloud and edge hosting providers operate globally. Personal data may therefore be stored or processed outside Hong Kong, including in the locations where those providers operate.

Section 33 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, which would restrict the transfer of personal data outside Hong Kong, is not in force. We nonetheless take reasonable steps to ensure that data transferred outside Hong Kong receives a comparable standard of protection, through contractual terms, access controls and encryption in transit. You may contact us for more information about the locations involved.

Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to meet legal, regulatory, tax and accounting requirements.

As a guide, we normally keep general enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after the enquiry is closed. Where required for tax, accounting or legal purposes, we keep client and supplier records for up to seven years after the end of the relationship. Security logs are kept for a shorter period. Where a legal hold or dispute requires it, we may keep data longer.

When personal data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls, least-privilege permissions, encryption in transit, logging and regular review of our systems.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Hong Kong law does not currently require notification of every personal data breach. If a security incident affects your personal data, we will investigate, take remedial steps and, where the law requires it or we consider notification appropriate, notify you and the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.

Access and correction

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), you have the right to request access to personal data we hold about you and to request correction of data that is inaccurate.

To make a request, email hello@tftech.dev with enough detail for us to identify you and the data concerned. We may ask for proof of identity and may charge a reasonable fee for processing an access request, as permitted by the Ordinance.

We will respond within the period required by the Ordinance, normally within 40 days of receiving a complete request.

Your choices

You may ask us to stop sending you marketing communications at any time. You may also raise a concern about how we have handled your personal data by contacting us first, so that we can try to resolve it.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The version and effective date at the top of this section show the current version. Material changes will be made prominent on this page, and we will take reasonable steps to tell affected individuals where required.

Complaints and contact

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong (PCPD) at www.pcpd.org.hk.
